1.  Pet clips can be as simple or as fancy as the owner wants. 

2. The hair under the tail should be kept short to keep feces from mating the coat.

3. Keep the feet and face clipped short to prevent dirt from matting between the toes and food from mating the dog's muzzle.

4. Some people want a longer cut in winter and a shorter one in summer.

6. Hairs around the poodle's eyes should be trimmed so as to not inflame the eyes or its associated ducts and glands.

7. Avoid over using the hair dryer.  Excessive heat can really damage the hair, and not to mention cause skin burns.

8. Always have a patient assistant when grooming a poodle.

9. Visualize how you want the dog to look at the end, before you even start clipping or bathing.

10. Charge more for your sever ices.  Dog groomers usually undercharge for their services.
